Google’s What Do You Love & Dinosaurs

Much like the mighty great white shark or the less mighty meth addict, Google never sleeps. There is always new stuff coming fresh out of the Google oven–most of it unrelated to SEO or PPC–and that stuff is often free! Sure, you’ve heard about the launch of Google+, but Google has also launched a simple Flash-to-HTML service called Swiffy, an easy mobile landing page development vehicle and, my personal favorite, a fun tool called What Do You Love (WDYL).

WDYL is a free service that allows you to plugin your favorite thing and get everything Google has to offer regarding it. Google, Google News, Google Images, Google Shopping, Google Everything all go into search mode to find you stuff related to the thing you love that you plugged in to WDYL. Personally, I love dinosaurs, and this is what it looked like when I punched “dinosaurs” into WDYL:

Pretty cool, right? I know that Google is becoming a scary, monolithic company but man, with all these cool projects, it makes me wish I could get a side job working at the GooglePlex!

About Hallosaurus 9000

Straight from the distant past's apocalyptic future, the mighty Hallosaurus 9000 tramples those foolhardy enough to obstruct his path. Very few obstruct his path, though, because--as is well-documented--most people in his era were pretty polite and observant of other people's path's. Also, the Hallosaurus 9000 likes to blog about tech and other subjects of interest. FEAR HIM or email him!
